When is the best time to invite someone who does not go to church to come to church? We have often laughed about the C & E crowd - the crowd that only goes to church at Christmas and Easter. But the fact of the matter is that Christmas is the number one time that unchurched people actually go to church, and often without an invite from a friend. Since studies have shown that 80% of the unchurched in America would come to church if they were invited by a friend, Christmas time would be an awesome time for us to invite the people for whom we have been praying.
That being the case, we are going to celebrate Friend's Day at Christmas Time on December 13th. We'll sing Christmas Carols, there will be lots of special music, and I will preach about how God comes to us at Christmas time with the gift of peace. Let's start praying right now that God will draw our friends to church to experience God's love at Christmas time.
Will you plan to be here come rain or shine or snow and help make this a high attendance Sunday? Will you pray for your unchurched friend to come? Will you pray that the lost will be saved and the misplaced will be found? Christmas is a time of miracles. Wouldn't it be great to see the miracle of lives changed on Friend's Day at Christmas Time?
In His Grace,
Bro. Ray
